*Please Read* *Course available on request* *PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT* This course is designed for youth and gun safety. This course consists of speaking with kids about the dangers of guns and why they should always be respected. This is really a great class and an excellent learning engagement. Parents, you will be in a position to understand how your child will react in a discussion about firearms and around firearms. Your child will gain a proper understanding of gun safety. This course is divided into two parts: Part I - Classroom Training. Training Simulator firearms used, No live ammunition. Parents, you may choose to stop here or advance to part two. Part II - Live Shooting on the Range with the fundamentals taught in the classroom. This course will be conducted by a certified professional firearms instructor. A certificate of course completion will be awarded to the participants who successfully finish the course. Course time is 3 hours *Class time 1 hour *The range time is 2.5 hours Allow yourself buffer time before and after class, class may extend after the scheduled time. This class will include: *Awareness/keeping a good mind frame *Handgun Safety *Proper Operation *Ammunition *How to handle a gun in a family defense crisis. *How to safely render a gun inoperable if necessary. *What to do if you were to find a gun. *Fight or Flight *Proper Storage *Live Shooting* You will need: Your driver's license/I.D. for the range. Eye and Ear protection. Closed-toe shoes Brimmed hat Parents, please bring your firearm and ammo to familiarize your family with your firearm. Firearms and ammo can be provided for youth for shooting if you do not have one. Youth and Gun Safety will take place at KNA Training Site Arlington Exp. Service R. 32211 Ste. B212 Gateway Outdoor Range 9301 Zambito Ave. 32210. ***Range fee - included into price per child up to 16 years old. ***Parents NOT SHOOTING free entry*** 1st time shooters at Gateway Outdoor Range, the range requires a mandatory 20-minute safety video before shooting.
